Pinkflash Clarifies After A Number Of Its Products Are Declared Dangerous By BPOM

JAKARTA - The Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) found a number of cosmetic products containing prohibited and harmful ingredients, during the testing period from November 2023 to October 2024. Pinkflash is one of the cosmetic brands whose several products are declared to contain hazardous materials.

Some of Pinkflash's products that are declared dangerous by BPOM include the following:

1. Pinkflash Pro Touch Eyeshadow Palette PF-E15 - #02 (NA1121120140) from PT FCL International Indonesia/Guangzhou Duoduo Cosmetics Co. Ltd. Containing a red coloring K3 and K10 and their distribution permit has been revoked.

Regarding the BPOM findings, Pinkflash through an upload on his Instagram provided clarification.

The brand says that products contain hazardous materials because factories that have worked together have previously replaced raw materials, regardless of the suitability of the security regulations from BPOM.

"There are raw materials that are not in accordance with the security regulations of the BPOM used by vendors when working with us," Pinkflash said in a statement, reported on Sunday, December 1, 2024.

Pinkflash apologized for causing customers anxiety about products that were declared dangerous by BPOM. Strict steps will also be taken, one of which is the destruction of dangerous products.

"The withdrawal of some products that are not in accordance with BPOM regulations from the market. The destruction of all identified products is not in accordance with security regulations," he added.
