KPK Investigate Sahbirin Noor's Bribery Through The Head Of PUPR Office Of South Kalimantan

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the receipt of money by former South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin.

This statement was obtained after examining a witness, Head of the Road Section of the South Kalimantan PUPR Service Handa Ferani on Thursday, November 28.

KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika said it was suspected that this acceptance was made by the Head of PUPR Office of South Kalimantan Province Ahmad Solhan. Solhan has been detained at the KPK detention center.

"The witness was investigated regarding the acceptance by the SOL suspect for the governor," Tessa told reporters in a written statement, Friday, November 29.

In addition, investigators also examined two other witnesses. They are the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of South Kalimantan Roy Rizali Anwar and Muhammad Aris Anova Pratama as the Staff of the Human Settlements Division of the PUPR Office of South Kalimantan Province.

"Witness RRA is being investigated regarding the ASN code of ethics," said Tessa.

Meanwhile, Aris was investigated regarding procurement through an e-catalog held in South Kalimantan.

Actually, the KPK also summoned another witness, Muhammad Wildan Salman as a private party. It's just that, he was absent.

"Witnesses did not attend without information," said Tessa.

As previously reported, the KPK is trying to strengthen evidence to return to ensnare Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin. Investigators continue to investigate the acceptance made by the former Governor of South Kalimantan by examining a number of witnesses.

"We are currently deepening the investigation, there are already (suspects, ed) who give the bribes, then the other recipients," said KPK Director of Investigation Asep Guntur to reporters quoted on Friday, November 29.

"So during the investigation of the giver and other recipients, we are also exploring the activities or behaviors carried out by SN's brother," he continued.

As for this case, Uncle Birin was named a suspect in receiving bribes along with four other people. However, this legal status was terminated based on a pretrial decision that was knocked by the South Jakarta District Court (PN) judges.

That way, only four people were detained by the KPK, namely the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Ahmad Solhan (SOL), the Head of Cipta Karya as well as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Yulianti Erlynah (YUL), the Management of the Tahfidz Darussalam House as well as the collector of money or fee Ahmad (AMD) and Plt. Head of the Household Section of the Governor of South Kalimantan Agustya Febry Andran (FEB).

Meanwhile, as the suspect givers, namely Sugeng Wahyudi (YUD) and Andi Susanto (AND) as private parties. A total of seven suspects were named by the KPK which began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Sunday, October 6.

This gift was made after Sugeng and Andi got three projects in South Kalimantan. The details:

1. Development of Football Fields in the Integrated Sports Area of South Kalimantan Province with selected provider PT WKM (Wismani Kharya Mandiri) with a work value of Rp23 billion; 2. Integrated Samsat Development with selected provider PT HIU (Haryadi Indo Utama) with a work value of Rp22 billion;3. Development of Swimming Pools in the Integrated Sports Area of South Kalimantan Province with selected provider CV BBB (Bunt Banua Bersama) with a work value of Rp9 billion.
