Amory Admits Anxiety Mixed In Debut At Old Trafford And Europa League

JAKARTA - Before starting the Europa League match to host Bodo Glimt at Old Trafford on Friday, November 29, 2024, early morning WIB, Ruben Amorim admitted that he was nervous and anxious.

The match made his home debut with Manchester United, as well as his first Amorious journey in the Europa League with his new team.

This admiration arose because he was anxious about whether his troops could understand his tactical demands properly or not.

Fortunately, all the players now seem to be able to run the atmosphere system well. Manchester United also won 3-2 over Bodo Glimt.

The Norwegian team had a 2-1 lead in the first half, but was finally able to turn things around in the second half.

The Portuguese coach admitted that watching his team in the early weeks of his term of office was very tense.

"I'm worried because I don't know what's going to happen. You can't control anything right now. We're trying to see things differently."

"I don't know the players and we haven't worked much together. We came to the game happily, but at the same time you are nervous because you don't know how the game will go," Amorim told TNT Sports.

In the match against Bodo Glimt, Amorim made six changes from the team that drew 1-1 against Ipswich Town last weekend or the coach's inaugural match.

The 39-year-old coach included Leandro Martinez, cap Malacia, Antony, Manuel Ugarte, Mason Mount, and Rasmus Hojlund from the start against Bodo Glimt.

Amoritam said he saw an increase against Bodo Glimt. However, he said he would be forced to make more changes when Everton visited Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday, December 1, 2024.

"I think we've improved from the match against Ipswich. We improve quality with the ball."

"We had to change players (against Everton). We tried to press all the time and the last 10 minutes was difficult."

"I feel Rasmus Hojlund is helpless. I feel some players are tired. Antony is back from injury, he has to get out of the game."

"We made four substitutions because of the players' fitness. We were at that moment. We needed a united squad," said Amorim.

Ruben Amorim has played two matches as Manchester United's new coach. The two matches were fairly positive because they had never lost, one won and one draw.
