Analyst: Enthusiasm Against Huawei Mate Series 70 Decreased After Launch

JAKARTA - Huawei, a mobile phone brand from China, launched its newest high-end phone on November 26, the Mate 70 series. Although it has just been released, the enthusiasm for this new cellphone seems to have decreased.

Based on the findings of the Jeffries Strategic and Global Research Team, interest in the Mate 70 series is not as good as before. Online discussion platforms show 'less enthusiasm' due to reduced frequency of online reviews and comments.

From these findings, citing from Reuters, Jeffries may have failed to reach his prediction, namely the sale of 48 million Huawei phones for this year. According to Jeffries, this target will be difficult to realize because sales of other series are also not as good as expected.

Like Huawei Pura 70, for example. Since the cellphone was released in April, Huawei has only managed to sell five million units. If you read from the declining enthusiasm of the community, sales of the Mate 70 series may also face challenges.

The analysis believes that the final sales of the Huawei Mate 70 and 70 Pro will not be as good as the previous version. It should be noted that the Mate 60 series managed to deliver 12 million to 13 million units to date.

"We believe the final sales volume of Mate 70 may be under Mate 60," said Jeffries analysts. "As a result, our Huawei delivery forecast of 48 million this year has decreased, which is a positive thing for iPhones and other brands."

However, unlike Jeffries, Consultant Canalys analysts believe that Mate 70's sales volume will be slightly better than the previous generation. This is influenced by the excellent production capacity.

The analyst named Toby Zhu believes that a fairly cold consumer reaction is a natural thing. The enthusiasm of the people who were only seen on the launch day and declined afterwards was considered a very natural process.
