Three Bodies Of Indonesian Citizens Victims Of Traffic Accidents In Malaysia Returned
The Indonesian Consulate General in Kuching, Malaysia, on Thursday (28/11) repatriated the bodies of three Indonesian citizens (WNI) who were victims of a traffic accident in Sarawak.
The Indonesian Consul General in Kuching Raden Sigit Witjaksono said the bodies of the three Indonesian citizens from West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) were repatriated by land to Pontianak, West Kalimantan, before being flown to their place of origin.
Previously, the Indonesian Consulate General repeated the bodies of two accident victims that occurred on November 21 and killed eight people.
The three bodies who were repatriated on Thursday were Sarapudin (49) and Agus Muladi (4) from Central Lombok, and Rumintang (16) from East Lombok.
After arriving in Pontianak, the three bodies were flown to Jakarta on Thursday evening.
The deadly accident occurred at KM 448 Jalan Betong-Meradong, Sarikei, Sarawak, which involved two four-wheeled vehicles on Wednesday at around 14:50 local time.
Eight people died in that incident, seven of whom were Indonesian citizens from NTB.
Allegedly, the driver of the vehicle carrying the seven Indonesian citizens tried to avoid police investigations because the passengers did not have official documents.
