JAKARTA - Ahead of the 2024 AFF Cup next month, the official AFF Cup account will again heat up the atmosphere of competition.

Uniquely, this time they uploaded the moment of Marselino Ferdinand's beautiful goal while defending the Indonesian national team vs the Philippines.

The match took place in Group A of the 2022 AFF Cup on January 2, 2023. Marselino's goal in that match became one of the iconic moments for Indonesian football fans.

Marselino's goal was considered iconic because it was created thanks to a perfect curling shot. Taking advantage of Witan Sulaeman's one-two pass in the opponent's penalty box, Marselino finally managed to close the execution sweetly.

From the success of Marselino's goal, the Indonesian national team was able to beat the Philippines. This result also contributed importantly to the steps taken by the Garuda National Team to qualify for the 2022 AFF Cup semifinals.
