Government Wants Airline Ticket Prices To Drop 10 Percent, Lion Group Is Ready To Reset Systems
JAKARTA - Lion Group is ready to rearrange the ticket price system. This step is in response to the government's plan to reduce the economic class flight rate by 10 percent on domestic flights during the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 (Nataru) periods.
Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Group, Danang Mandala Prihantoro said his party had no problem with the government's policy. Lion Group, he said, would implement a policy of lowering ticket prices.
Furthermore, Danang emphasized that Lion Group welcomes this step as part of efforts to realize President Prabowo Subianto's aspirations to strengthen national connectivity, support community mobility, and build the country's economy through the air transportation sector.
"As part of technical preparation, Lion Group will reorganize ticket price systems, optimize operational efficiency, and continue to prioritize flight safety," he said in an official statement, Thursday, November 28.
Danang said Lion Group is optimistic that this policy can have a long-term positive impact on the Indonesian public and economy.
"The decrease in the 10 percent tariff policy implemented in all airports in Indonesia is expected to provide real benefits for people traveling during the Nataru holiday period," he said.
According to Danang, this policy was designed by considering the balance between the public interest and the airline's operational sustainability.
The decline in plane ticket prices, continued Danang, also makes it easier for people to access the air travel at a more affordable cost. Including, increasing domestic tourism activities and economic growth in various parts of Indonesia.
