Police Reveal Cause Of White Toyota Hilux Accident In Cipondoh

TANGERANG - The police revealed the cause of the white Toyota Hilux car accident that hit 10 people in Cipondoh, Tangerang, because the driver was not well.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi, confirmed that the driver of the Toyota Hilux named IR Marsudi was not drunk, but was sick.

"So it's not because I'm drunk, but I'm sick. I'm having acute diabetes according to the doctor's statement," Ade Ary told reporters at Polda Metro Jaya, Thursday, November 28.

Therefore, he appealed to all motorists, both two and four wheels, not to force themselves, if the body is sick.

"To the public, road users, both 2-wheeled and 4-wheeled vehicles, to ensure that their health condition is in good condition. Don't force yourself to drive the vehicle because it can endanger yourself and others," he said.

Regarding the chronology of the incident, it started when the Toyota Hilux car was traveling from Tangerang to Pinang, Tangerang City. Arriving at the scene of the incident (TKP), the Hilux driver who was not concentrating so he hit a Daihatsu Grandmax car.

"Then walk forward and swerve to the left and hit the electric pole, then hit the back of the Yamaha Mio motorcycle, Sularno. Hit the back of the Honda Vario motorcycle driven by Mohammad Sofwan," he explained.

Stopping there, the car also hit the wall of the metal warehouse. The wall then collapsed and hit five motorbikes and a Hyundai Ioniq 5 car that was parked in front of the warehouse.

Three motorcyclists who suffered injuries as a result of this accident were Sularno and Muhammad Sofwan. The driver of the Hilux car was also injured.

"The victim Sularno suffered injuries to his legs and face. Meanwhile, Muhamaad Sofwan was injured in his right leg. The two victims were taken to Sari Asih Hospital, Cipondoh," said Ade Ary.
