Extreme, Restaurants In Singapore Serve Laksa With Soilworms

JAKARTA - A restaurant in Singapore presents extreme culinary delights. The force uses earthworms to be one of the ingredients.

Launching from AsiaOne, the restaurant is called Nanyang Spice which is located in Sin Lim Square, Singapore. The restaurant owner, Zac Choy, said he initially carried out with additional earthworms from his mother.

When I developed the laksa prescription, I felt there was still something missing. Then my mother suggested adding the groundworm that had been dried into the laksul quash concoction," said Zac Choy, quoted on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

The addition of earthworms in the laksa is not without reason. Ibu Zac Choy said that adding earthworms would make the coconut sauce in the laksa fresher and more delicious than usual.

"He said this worm can make coconut milk in the lakla taste fresher and more delicious," he added.

Initially selling the laksam with this additional earthworm, Zac Choy was worried that customers would not like him. However, his loyal customers don't care about it because they like the delicious taste of the action.

I have loyal customers and tell the truth. At first they were surprised, but they didn't care because they liked the implementation," he said.

Not only that, but Zac Choy also always tries to educate buyers of dried earthworms, which are beneficial for health. The dried soil worms are also added when cooking coconut milk from the laks, not in the automatic bowl eaten by the buyer.

Every day, Nanyang Spice can sell 30 to 60 servings of laks with dry earthworms. One portion of the executive is valued at SGD 6 or equivalent to Rp. 71 thousand.
