Samsung Has Been Named Top Brand In Southeast Asia In 2024

JAKARTA - Samsung Electronics has been named the Top Brand in Southeast Asia for 2024 by Campaign Asia-Pacific, a media platform focused on the marketing industry, advertising, media, and communications, in collaboration with Milieu Insight.

In addition, Samsung also announced that it was named Top Electronics Brand in Southeast Asia for this year, out of 50 lists of Southeast Asia 2024 top brands in the region.

Overall, Samsung got a score of 69.27% for the electronic category. The score was obtained because Samsung was in the top position in the electronic category in five Southeast Asian countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Not only that, Samsung also got a score of 89% for the highest brand awareness category across Southeast Asia as well as achieving the highest score in terms of quality, trust, and innovation.

"This rating is proof of our dedication and concrete steps in providing an ecosystem for significant innovation and extraordinary experiences supported by AI, to Samsung users throughout Southeast Asia," said ChonHong Ng, Vice President and Head of Regional Marketing Samsung Electronics Southeast Asia and Oceania.

The list of the top 50 brands in Southeast Asia was revealed in Campaign360 in Singapore recently, following a thorough survey of more than 10,000 customers in six Southeast Asian markets, namely Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Singapore.

The survey covers more than 1,200 brands from various sectors, including fashion, travel, clothing and accessories, financial services, beauty, telecommunications and streaming services, e-commerce, transportation and delivery, automotive, and food delivery.

These brands are then thoroughly evaluated using nine main criteria, namely awareness, purchasing, quality, purchasing experience, customer service, trust, innovation, brand touchpoint, and advocacy.

After more than 10,000 interviews were conducted, Campaign Asia-Pacific announced that Samsung appeared at the top, followed by e-commerce platform Shopee in rank 2, technology giants Apple ranked 3, and Super App Grab and Watsons in rank 4 and 5.
