Mataram City Government: Social Assistance Can Be Distributed Again

MATARAM - Mataram City Government, West Nusa Tenggara Province, said the social assistance process (bansos) can be distributed again according to existing regulations.

"Alhamdulillah, the stages of the simultaneous 2024 Pilkada voting have been completed so that there is nothing more to worry about in the distribution of social assistance," said Mataram Mayor H Mohan Roliskana in Mataram, Antara, Thursday, November 28.

This was conveyed in response to the central government's policy of temporarily stopping the distribution of social assistance from November 11 to November 27, 2024, to avoid misuse of social assistance politicization by regional head candidates.

After the voting process is complete, regional apparatus organizations (OPD) that have programs related to social assistance can now distribute aid normally.

"Hopefully the social assistance distributed can be right on target and can be utilized optimally for the benefit of the general public," he said.

Head of the People's Welfare Section (Kesra) of the Mataram City Secretariat Amir Wisuda who was confirmed regarding the distribution of social assistance said that today his party had submitted a social assistance disbursement process to the Regional Finance Agency (BKD).

"For disbursement, we can't confirm yet. But you can ask directly to the BKD," he said.

Amir previously said that the amount of social assistance varied, for example, for foundation grants adjusted to the new rules, a maximum of Rp250 million was set, while the house of worship was a maximum of Rp200 million.

"Meanwhile, social activity assistance for social activities such as the taklim assembly, recitation, and others is an average of around Rp. 5 million," he said.

According to him, when there was a temporary suspension of social assistance distribution policy, at that time his party was not vacuum but to complete various submission documents before the process of disbursing social assistance.

Including conducting surveys to a number of institutions that propose to get social assistance. Thus, when the policy of providing social assistance is in effect again, the disbursement process can be carried out immediately.

"So our work does not accumulate too much, when there has been the revocation of the policy of stopping social assistance," he said.

Based on the type of social assistance that is temporarily suspended, all types of social assistance sourced from the government budget, be it the APBN, Provincial APBD, or the Mataram City APBD, because the circular given the order is general.

At that time his party was more careful so that both in the form of grants for foundations and houses of worship and other social assistance for social activities were temporarily suspended.

"But after the voting stage was completed, today the social assistance distribution service returned to normal according to the provisions," he said.
