Linmas Officer Dies While Preparing For Voting Location At Lam Ara Banda Aceh
JAKARTA - A Linmas member who served at the Gampong Lam Ara Voting Station (TPS), Banda Raya District, Banda Aceh City was reported to have died after raising the ballot box, Wednesday, November 27 morning.
"The person concerned is Agusnadi (33), a local resident. He was declared to have breathed his last after being rushed to Meuraxa Hospital in Banda Aceh," Banda Raya Police Chief, Iptu Jumadil Firdaus, in Banda Aceh, Wednesday, November 27, was confiscated by Antara.
Jumadil said the incident began when Agus began working to prepare for the security of the voting at around 06.30 WIB. The victim also helped prepare the location and moved the ballot boxes from the storage building to the TPS location.
"After completing his duties, the victim rested in the TPS seat. Moments later, the witness, Zulbahri, thought the victim was asleep," he said.

Then, he continued, when witness Zulbahri tried to wake him up, Agus did not respond. Then, the witness and other residents took the victim to the prayer room to check his condition.
"Then he was taken to the hospital, until he was declared dead. According to the testimony of witnesses and residents, the victim appeared to be in good health since morning. The deceased has been buried in Lam Ara Village," said Jumdil.
After the accident, elements of Forkopimda Banda Aceh have visited the funeral home in Lam Ara Village, Banda Aceh. Their presence was greeted by family sobs.
Kapolresta Banda Aceh, Kombes Pol Fahmi Irwan Ramli also mourned Agusnadi's death when he was carrying out his state duties.
"The deceased died while carrying out state duties. May the late Agusnadi be forgiven for his sins and accepted for his deeds of worship," said the Chief of Police.
