1 TPS In The Thousand Islands Relocated Due To Heavy Rain, Continued Road Voting
JAKARTA - Acting Regent of the Thousand Islands, Muhammad Fadjar Chuniawan revealed that a polling place (TPS) on Kelapa Island had to be moved to a safer location because heavy rains flushed the location on Wednesday, November 27.
"The TPS that was moved has entered the school room and is safe and continues to vote for residents who have not come to the TPS," said Fadjar Chuniawan while reviewing the implementation of the Jakarta Pilkada on Panggang Island, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 27.
He admitted that he received information that there was rain in Pulau Harapan Village and Kelapa Island at around 09.00 WIB and stopped at around 10.00 WIB and then rained again at 11.00 WIB.
"This condition forced one polling station on Kelapa Island to be moved to a safer place and continued the vote," he said.
He said that today he reviewed the voting at TPS 07 which is located at the Pramuka Island Residents' Hall, then continued to TPS 06 at the National Park, Pramuka Island.
Then, sail to Panggang Island to monitor TPS 03, which is located at the Secretariat 02, Main Pier, and Polling Station 02 and Polling Station 05 at the Cultural Sub-Department, Panggang Island.
"Alhamdulillah, in the implementation of the Pilkada, the Governor and Deputy Governor in the Thousand Islands Regency area took place safely and smoothly," he said.
He admitted that he monitored the implementation of regional elections in the Panggang Island Village area from 10.00 WIB, the average per polling station that came to channel their voting rights was almost 50 to 60 percent of voters, then at 11.00 the average position was 80 percent.
He added that the rest of the voters were sick, some had disabilities. However, one of the family members has contacted KPU colleagues.
"From that, KPU members will pick up the ball to voters who are sick and disabled," he said.

The Jakarta KPU has appointed three candidate pairs for governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta to run in the DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada). The three candidate pairs are Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) number 1, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun) from independent serial number 2 and Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram-Doel) serial number 3.
A total of 8.2 million voters who have been designated as a permanent voter list (DPT) for the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada will exercise their voting rights at 14,835 polling stations (TPS) on November 27, 2024. The series of Jakarta Pilkada campaigns has been held from September 25 to November 23, 2024.
