North Sumatra Governor Election, Edy Rahmayadi: Fast Calculation Results Do Not Become A Winning Basin

JAKARTA - North Sumatra governor candidate number 2, Edy Rahmayadi, said the quick count or quick count was not the basis for winning regional head elections.

"Later, the results will be in the real count announced by the General Elections Commission," he quoted Antara as saying.

He, who exercised his voting rights at the 044 polling station, Pangkalan Mansyhur Village, Medan Johor, Medan, is optimistic that he will win the election of the governor and deputy governor of North Sumatra in the 2024 Pilkada.

"Even one percent is important to win. I am sure that I will be governor of North Sumatra for the period 2025-2030," he said.

Before choosing, Rahmayadi, who was paired with Hasan Basri, first asked for his mother's blessing and then exercised the right to vote with his wife and children.

Even though it was raining in Medan, he who was wearing all black clothes exercised his voting rights at the TPS not far from the location where he lived.

"The reason for his position in Jakarta, because he still holds the Jakarta ID card, is taken care of here, he said he did not have time, so he had to return to Jakarta, because of his voting rights there," he said.

After using his voting rights, he said, his party will visit a number of polling stations in Medan and surrounding areas to stake out and will gather at the winning house.

"Because there have been many until now, this morning many informed, have not been invited, there have been no calls, including my mother," he said.

In the 2024 Pilkada, Rahmayadi, who was paired with Hasan Basri, faced the pair Bobby Nasution-Surya number 1, while Bobby was the son-in-law of former President Joko Widodo.
