Israel's Last Attack In Lebanon Before Ceasefire Kills 25 People

JAKARTA - Israeli attacks in Lebanon killed 25 people. This attack came before the Israeli-Hezbollah ceasefire agreement.

Reportedly 10 people were killed in central Beirut, six people in the southern city of Shaqra, 2 people in the southern city of Islam.

Then six people died in the mainland-Hermel region and one died in Hadath in the Lebanese mountain area south of Beirut, according to the Lebanese health ministry.

Lebanese official news agency (NNA) said an apartment building in Hamra, central Beirut, was attacked.

Hamra, the busiest commercial area in the capital, is home to two American universities and several international nonprofit offices.

Earlier, the Israeli military issued an evacuation warning for areas including Hamra.

NNA also said the drone hit al-Qard al-Hassan in Zuqaq al-Blat, a financial institution linked to Hezbollah.

The Israeli military said it had carried out intelligence-based attacks on nine terror targets that were components of Hezbollah's management and financial system in Beirut, tengic, Marijuana, and Beqaa, as a continuation of the previous attacks.

Israel says its targets include storage facilities, the Al-Qard Al-Hassan branch and the money exchange offices it says are used to fund Hezbollah's military activities.

Hours before agreeing to a ceasefire, Israel drastically stepped up its attacks on Beirut, targeting certain areas in the middle of the city not only the southern suburbs that Hezbollah dominated for the first time in the conflict.
