PLN UIW MMU Alerts Safe And Reliable Electricity Supply During The 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada

JAKARTA - PLN Main Unit for the North Maluku and Maluku Region (UIW MMU) has alerted a safe and reliable electricity supply at the momentum of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

General Manager of PLN UIW MMU, Awat Tuhuloula said that the preparations were made as part of PLN's commitment and responsibility to the state and society.

"We have taken steps to prepare long before the implementation of the 2024 Pilkada. We have carried out a number of layered security procedures to all units and continue to monitor what the course of preparation will be," he said, quoting Antara.

He said guarding the security of the electricity system, PLN UIW MMU deployed 1,250 personnel spread across Maluku and North Maluku.

PLN UIW MMU projects a safe electricity system on Pilkada H Day, with Puncak Burdens reaching 137.13 Megawatts (MW) and Reserve Power of 101.3 MW in Maluku Province.

Meanwhile, North Maluku Province has a Peak Burden of 106.83 MW and has Reserve Power of 39.5 MW.

He said the 2024 Pilkada alert was supported by 1,250 personnel spread across 203 posts throughout Maluku and North Maluku.

In addition to personnel, PLN UIW MMU also ensures that supporting equipment is in prime condition. In which there are two crane units, 156 cars and 67 operational motorbikes of officers, eight UPS units, 65 generator units, 22 Mobile Substation Units (UBG), and five SPKLU units.

Awat explained that PLN UIW MMU had monitored priority locations, namely KPU and Bawaslu, as well as polling stations to ensure electrical readiness.

Cross-expension coordination also continues to be built, so that together this democratic party is successful.

"We are optimistic, with careful preparation, tomorrow's H day will run smoothly without any electrical disturbances, both during the voting process and the vote count", said Awat.
