KPK Reminds People Not To Be Tempted By Fajar's Attack: Receive Rp20-50 Thousand But The Consequence Is 5 Years

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded the public to avoid dawn attacks ahead of the Regional Head Election (Pilkada) on Wednesday, November 27. Choosing regional heads must be done smartly not just because of the lure of money.

"For the people who will vote tomorrow, the KPK only appeals, it is smart to choose your leadership for the next five years," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, November 26.

"Because five years is not a short time," he continued.

Tessa hopes that people will not be tempted by the dawn attacks given by certain candidates. This is because the gift is insignificant when compared to the policies that will be issued by the elected regional head.

Instead of choosing because of the lure of money, people should vote for someone who has a track record and has integrity. "If you choose a candidate because you are given Rp. 100,000, Rp. 50,000 or Rp. 20 thousand, that's the only reason to vote, you and your mother will accept the consequences for the next five years," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

"Choose a leader with integrity, whose track record in work has been tested if it is possible," concluded Tessa.
