The Attorney General's Office Has 6 Certified Prosecutors Handling Crypto Crimes

JAKARTA - Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes (JAM-Pidum) Asep Nana Mulyana revealed that currently the Prosecutor's Office has six prosecutors who are certified internationally in analyzing crypto transaction crimes.

"And later there will be 30 additional prosecutors who are internationally certified," said JAM Pidum Nana as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 26.

According to him, the AGO is currently implementing the "Chainanalysis Reactor" program in order to increase the prosecutor's ability to handle cases related to crypto crimes.

The program is a form of transformation of prosecution through capacity building, accountability and professionalism of prosecutors.

Therefore, the development of competent human resources and integrity, as well as optimizing information technology in law enforcement is also needed.

JAMpidum Nana also revealed that the Prosecutor's Office has launched a Case Management System (CMS) and the Socialization of the Online Investigation Commencement Notification (SPDP).

"CMS is a database for case handling at the Prosecutor's Office, which is currently developing and integrated with various other information systems," he said when receiving a visit from the World Bank-Korea Development Institute (KDI).

The visit of the World Bank-Korea Development Institute (KDI) is in order to support digitalization in the Indonesian justice system, including at the Indonesian Attorney General's Office.

JAMpidum welcomed and appreciated this meeting because the Indonesian Attorney General's Office had the same concern, namely digital transformation in case handling. This is realized through the Single Prosecution System and prosecution transformation.

Meanwhile, Executive Director Center for International Development (CID) Jungwook KIM said that the presentation delivered by JAM-Pidum was very interesting, because it was not only focused on law enforcement and digitization, but also on increasing human resources.

This is shown through a policy that still pays attention to the capacity of the Prosecutor.

This meeting is expected to be a sustainable collaboration in order to realize digital transformation in the justice system in Indonesia.
