Message From The MPR Leader Tomorrow Voting: Money Politic Pilkada Must Be Reported

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly, Eddy Soeparno, reminded the public to report if they meet or know of the practice of money politics during the 2024 Pilkada voting.

Eddy assessed that all parties must be aware of the dawn attack ahead of voting in their respective regions.

"It has always been a problem in direct elections, both legislative and exclusive, is the rise and increase in the intensity of money politics, so I think it is necessary to watch out for it," said Eddy to reporters, Tuesday, November 26.

According to him, law enforcement officials must take firm action and be consistent if political money practices are found. Likewise, election organizers, especially Bawaslu.

"Including the community, be it coalitions, civil society and the general public, who feel that their rights are not fulfilled, because of money politics. Their candidate for regional head can be defeated because there is money politics, it must be reported," said the PAN legislator.

Nevertheless, Eddy believes, tomorrow's Pilkada will run smoothly without any disturbances. Because according to him, during the general election there will be no turmoil and dynamics in society.

"Tomorrow Pilkada, I think Indonesia, the people are no stranger to the Simultaneous Regional Elections, we have experienced simultaneous regional elections many times. Then the apparatus, law enforcers have handled and secured regional elections many times and repeated, including election organizers who are also very experienced. So we estimate that there will be no turmoil, everything will run smoothly, everything will run smoothly, and the results of the regional elections which will be announced both through quick count and real count illustrate the aspirations of the whole community," said Eddy.
