Secretary General Of Gerindra: Prabowo's Instruction Letter Supports Ridwan Kamil-Suswono Issued Before Peaceful Period

Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani emphasized that Prabowo Subianto's instruction letter to support the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of Jakarta number 01, Ridwan Kamil - Suswono in the 2024 Pilkada was issued before the quiescent period.

Muzani said that the letter clearly stated Prabowo's position as General Chair and Chairman of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees.

"That letter is quite clear, firm, in his position as general chairman and chairman of the Gerindra party's supervisory board. That's a clear letter," said Muzani, Tuesday, November 26.

Muzani denied that the instruction letter had just been issued recently. He stated that the letter had been issued before the quiescent period ahead of the Pilkada on Wednesday, November 27. "No, yesterday (it was published, ed). Yesterday, when did you know before the quiescent period. Maybe yes (just circulated on social media, ed)," said Muzani.

Previously, the Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, confirmed the circulation of an instruction letter from the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, to the entire community to support the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor Ridwan Kamil - Suswono in the 2024 Pilkada.

"I have checked that the letter was indeed issued by Pak Prabowo as General Chair or Chairman of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees carrying the candidate pairs Ridwan Kamil and Suswono," said Dasco as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 25.

In the letter circulating, Prabowo explained that Jakarta still has an influence on the development of the nation.

Jakarta's progress in any field will affect developments throughout Indonesia.

Therefore, Prabowo assessed that Jakarta needed to be led by experienced bureaucrats such as Ridwan Kamil and Suswono.

In the hands of Ridwan Kamil and Suswono, Prabowo believes that Jakarta will become a more advanced city and have a good influence on the progress of the nation.

"That's why I, H. Prabowo Subianto as the General Chair and Chair of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees, urge and appeal to my brother who I respect and I am proud to use the power, sovereignty that is in your hands. For your country, help your nation, use your right to vote to win the pair number one (1) HM Ridwan Kamil - H Suswono (Rido) as Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta in the next 5 years," Prabowo said in the letter.
