BMKG: Most Of Indonesia Is Predicted To Have Light Rain On Tuesday
JAKARTA The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that most areas in Indonesia will experience light rain on Tuesday, November 26. Some areas are predicted to experience moderate to rain accompanied by lightning.
BMKG forecaster, Andika F. Hapsari, revealed that areas on the islands of Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and eastern Indonesia will face rainfall with a variety of intensity.
"Light rain is predicted to occur in Banda Aceh, Padang and Pekanbaru," Andika said in a live broadcast on the BMKG YouTube channel, Tuesday, November 26.

Light rain is predicted in the cities of Banda Aceh, Padang, Jambi, and Pekanbaru. The cities of Medan and Tanjung Pinang are expected to experience moderate rain, while Bengkulu, Palembang, and Pangkal Pinang have the potential for rain accompanied by lightning.
The islands of Java, Semarang City and Surabaya will be dominated by thick cloudy weather. Light rain is predicted to flush Jakarta and Serang, while Yogyakarta will experience moderate rain. The city of Bandung needs to be vigilant because rain is forecasted with lightning.
Bali and Nusa Tenggara will be cloudy, while Mataram City is expected to have light rain. Rain accompanied by lightning is predicted to occur in Kupang City.
The islands of Kalimantan, Samarinda and Banjarmasin, will experience light rain, while rain is forecast to flush Pontianak. The cities of Palangka Raya and Tanjung Selor must be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning.
The islands of Sulawesi with light rain will occur in Gorontalo, Kendari, and Makassar. The city of Palu is predicted to experience moderate rain, while the cities of Manado and Mamuju are expected to experience rain accompanied by lightning.
East Indonesia Ambon City will be dominated by thick cloudy weather, while light rain will flush the cities of Ternate, Manokwari, Jayapura, Jayawijaya, and Merauke. Sorong City and Nabire are predicted to have moderate rain.

BMKG reminded the public to remain alert to potential extreme weather, especially in areas where moderate rain is predicted to be accompanied by lightning. In addition, residents living in areas prone to hydrometeorological disasters such as floods and landslides are asked to prepare mitigation steps.
"The public is expected to monitor the latest weather information through the official BMKG channel and increase awareness of sudden weather changes," said Andika.
