The Panturas Continues Tropicalika Galura Adventure Via Bentang Sagara Music Video
JAKARTA - Abyan Acin (guitar, vocals), Rizal Taufik (guitar), Bagus 'Gogon' (bass), and Surya Fikri (drums) who are members of The Panturas, launched a music video from his latest work entitled 'Bentang Sagara'.
The broadcast of this music video was presented by the surf-rock band from Jatinangor as an adventure for Tropicalika, a mini album with the nuances of Sundanese which was just released last week.
In order to describe the final track of the Tropialika Gala' through a visual approach, The Panturas attracts the director from Singapore, Ash Goh Hua. Other film activists were also presented, namely Gerry Leonard from Indonesia and Kitty Hu from the United States, as the two main actors in the music video. In addition, Giovanni Rahmadeva was hired as producer and Erlangga Badikza as an image editing.
In the music video 'Btang Sagara', Ash pours out the aesthetic lo-fi by utilizing the media that is not age-appropriate, to maximize the full one-day shooting time when capturing the joy of a couple which he considers to feel like the day they can play freely while creative.
This music video presents the scene and boisterousness of the city of New York, one of which iskery, which is the location for shooting.
"I want to tell the story of joy and loss in love, using the ocean as a metaphor to describe the breadth of my heart," said Ash Goh Hua through a press release received by VOI, Monday, November 25.
"But I'm also developing it, imagining the perspective of immigrants at the NYC (New York City) who often miss our homeland, covered by a wave of love and complex longing," he added.
Meanwhile, the song 'Btang Sagara' initiated by Kuya with producer Ricky Virgana (WSATCC) is one of Sundanese language numbers that is thick with Indonesian disco-pop nuances during the 1978 LCLR compilation era in mini albums.
The vocals of WSATC's 'Sorry' at the end of the song became a form of respect for The Panturas for the Indonesian song to continue to be sustainable.
'Bentang Sagara' is the first disco song composed by The Panturas. During the workshop, we agreed to slip Sundanese disco songs, briefly telling stories about apologies or asking for forgiveness. This is one of the most personal songs," concluded Kuya.
