Minister Of Manpower: Formula UMP 2025 Is Still Being Formulated
JAKARTA - Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli said the government and a number of related parties were still formulating the 2025 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) formula.
This statement was made by Yassierli when fulfilling the agenda of a limited meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, responding to the attitude of the elements of workers who rejected the 2025 UMP formula proposed by the Ministry of Manpower.
"It's still in the formulation. What you want to reject is that the formula has not been completed," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 25.
He said the formulation related to the UMP discussed with trade unions and entrepreneurs was still awaiting President Prabowo's approval.
Meanwhile, the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI), through its press release, called on President Prabowo to set a policy of increasing the minimum wage of 2025 in accordance with the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) Number: 168/PUU-XXI/2023.
The Constitutional Court's decision to cancel a number of norms in the Omnibus Law on the Job Creation Law related to wages and mandate the determination of the minimum wage based on inflation, economic growth, and certain indexes (minors), without discrimination in the industrial sector.
