Give A New Choice For Indonesian SUV Market, Take A Peek At Citroën Basalt Specifications In GJAW

JAKARTA - The Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) exhibition is a stage of various brands to introduce its latest model, including Citroën who brought Basalt SUV.

Citroën Basalt SUV is actually introduced in March 2024 in South America and India, Citroën Indonesia CEO Tan Kim Piauw is very proud to bring the model to Gjaw which is designed to combine two SUV and coupe styles that can captivate anyone.

"We are confident that the existence of basalt is expected to provide a new color for the SUV market in Indonesia," he said, when met at ICE BSD, some time ago.

Until now there are no complete specifications for Citroën Basalt for the Indonesian market. But, the details have been revealed in India.

Design

In an exterior design, this one SUV carries a sporty impression and has a strong character typical of SUVs, there is a typical dynamic curve of the coupe on the back roof that gives an elegant impression, and gives a dynamic impression without sacrificing shape.

At the front, the basalt is equipped with a X Shaped Split DRL lamp combined with a high technology LED Vision Projector, which ensures optimal visibility to support maximum driving experience. Meanwhile, the back is equipped with a 3D Blade Tail Lamps lamp consisting of three gradient lines.

From the interior side, this one car offers a relatively comfortable cabin, with a 2,651mm axis, the front of the 2nd row in its class is 980 mm, and a large luggage room of 470 liters.

Features

Many modern features embedded in this one car, as well as connected to Android Auto to Apple Carplay. Ensuring unlimited connectivity, also equipped with the Mycitroën Connect application that offers 40 advanced features, including start/stop engine long distance and to turn on the air conditioner. Comfort in this car is also supported by a qualified safety system, ranging from 6-airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Control, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Variant

Basalt for the Indian market and will be present in six different variants with 1.2 liter engines with naturally-aspirated (NA) and turbo choices. This engine is claimed to be able to spray a maximum performance of up to 82 PS at 5,750 rpm and torque reaches 115 Nm at 3,750 rpm for manual transmission, and automatic transmission is able to spray performance up to 110 PS at 5,500 rpm and torque reaches 205 at 1,750-2,500 rpm.

Price

Basalt comes with You and Plus variants. Each is priced starting from 799,000 rupees and 999,000 rupees (around IDR 148.2 million and IDR 185.3 million). Meanwhile, four other variants are offered with a choice of turbo and manual and automatic transmission (AT), namely Plus and Max. For Turbo Plus offered 1,149 million rupees (IDR 213.2 million) and Turbo at Plus for 1,279 million rupees (IDR 237.3 million).

Then, the top two variants namely Max and AT Max were sold at 1,228 million rupees (IDR 227.8 million) and 1,362 million rupees (IDR 252.7 million). The manufacturer also prepared a dual-tone color option option in the Max variant with an additional cost of 21,000 rupees (IDR 3.8 million).
