Atang Mayor Candidate Bogor City, Show Environmental Concern With The Recycle Of The Pilkada APK
BOGOR Along with the end of the 2024 Bogor City Pilkada campaign period, Bogor Mayor Atang Trisnanto's candidate for mayor stole the attention with his innovative steps.
Together with the West Java and White team in Bogor City, Atang independently lowered campaign props (APK) at a number of points in Bogor City, Sunday, November 24 morning. Not only controlling the APK, Atang has a mission to recycle campaign materials into useful goods.
The reduction process started with the PKS DPD office in Kebon Pedes Village. With the help of scissors and the spirit of gotong royong, Atang and the team successfully cut banners, billboards, and other campaign materials, then transported them using a pickup truck.
"Alhamdulillah, today we are with the PKS Task Force, the Atang-Anida winning team, and West Java Asih to control the APK that we installed during the campaign period," said Atang.
"The bamboo from the APK will be reused, while the banners, billboards, and banners will be recycled into useful goods. Hopefully this step can bring benefits and keep our environment sustainable," he continued.
However, the Atang-Anida campaign period did not go smoothly. One of the big billboards with an Atang image attached to the pedestrian bridge (JPO) in front of the IPB Alumni Building on Jalan Pajajaran was reportedly removed by an unknown person. In addition, several other APKs were also found damaged, allegedly due to acts of sabotage.
Responding to this incident, the Head of the West Java Putih Task Force in Bogor City, Adityawarman Adil, invited all parties to maintain conduciveness. "We urge all teams to succeed in maintaining a peaceful campaign and respecting other pairs of candidates," he said.

On the other hand, the General Election Commission (KPU) of Bogor City is working with Bawaslu and the local government to carry out a thorough cleaning of the APK in all areas of Bogor City, including remote areas.
Ketua KPU Kota Bogor, M Habibi Zaenal Arifin, mengingatkan bahwa selama masa tenang, seluruh pasangan calon dilarang melakukan aktivitas kampanye dalam bentuk apa pun, termasuk melalui media sosial.
