Pertamina's Gas Pipe In Plumpang Leaks, The Cause Is Allegedly Due To PDAM Pipe Development

JAKARTA - There was a pipe leak belonging to Pertamina during the distribution of fuel to Plumpang in the middle of Jalan Raya Cakung-Cilincing.

Area Manager Communication, Relation & CSR of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Regional, Eko Kristiawan said the incident occurred on Saturday, November 23, at 18.15 WIB.

"Based on initial information, there was a PDAM pipeline construction project from PAM JAYA around the leakage point which allegedly hit the fuel distribution pipeline to Plumpang which caused a leak and issued Pertalite type fuel," said Eko in his statement, Sunday, November 24.

He said that the Pertamina team is currently trying to make improvements to avoid the risk of supply constraints and fuel stocks in the West Java Region, namely by sending fire trucks, vacuum trucks, closing the nearest valve ball from the leak point.

"And coordination is for securing fuel supply and waiting for permission for traffic engineering," he said.

Furthermore, despite experiencing gas pipeline leaks, he ensured that the availability of stock and smooth distribution of fuel for the community continued to run smoothly.

"Pertamina Patra Niaga guarantees the availability of stock and smooth distribution of fuel for people in the provinces of Banten, DKI Jakarta and West Java," he concluded.
