Indonesia Cooperates With Arizona State University To Develop Semiconductor Industry
JAKARTA - Indonesia is establishing scientific and educational cooperation with Arizona State University which is formalized through the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in building a semiconductor industrial ecosystem.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the cooperation was a concrete step in implementing the roadmap for the development of the Indonesian semiconductor industrial ecosystem.
Meanwhile, the MoU was signed by the Deputy for Coordination of International Economic Cooperation as the Head of the Indonesian Semiconductor Task Force Implementing Team and with the President of Arizona State University.
"Today, Indonesia has signed a historic MoU related to scientific cooperation and education in the semiconductor sector," he said in his statement quoted on Sunday, November 24.

Airlangga said the MoU is very important, not only can it encourage the growth and resilience of the semiconductor sector's strategic supply chain, but can also optimize the opportunity of the ITSI Fund program through cooperation between Arizona State University and the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs, US.DOS that has existed before.
For the record, a number of flagship Arizona State University programs include semiconductor labor accelerators, semiconductor Faculty certifications, policy development and semiconductor supply chain management, as well as other flagship programs.
As a follow-up, the Indonesian Semiconductor Task Force together with Arizona State University will form a team to draw up an action plan as a form of implementation of the MoU.
