MSME Fashion Bazaar to Coffee Bean Education from East Nusa Tenggara
JAKARTA - East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) is known for its rich culture, nature, and abundant natural resource potential. One sector that has experienced rapid development in this region is Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
Various local products from NTT are now starting to attract the attention of domestic and international markets, especially in terms of natural wealth and cultural heritage. Two prominent examples of NTT MSMEs are the coffee and fashion industries. Through creative and innovative processes, these two sectors not only reflect the potential of the local economy, but also introduce NTT's identity to the world.
A total of 111 MSMEs fostered by BUMN PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero), PT Jasa Raharja, PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Persero) and PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia / ITDC as well as the MSME Digital Market (PaDi UMKM) which mostly come from the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) region such as from Ende, Bajawa, Sabu Raijua and Labuan Bajo display a variety of products.
Products displayed from the food and beverage, fashion, craft and tour & travel services categories for the Labuan Bajo – NTT destination in the UMKM Bazaar for Indonesia edition with the theme 'Pesona Timur Indonesia' at the Sarinah Building, Jakarta, November 21-24, 2024.
The Pesona Timur Indonesia event in Jakarta is a continuation of the previous edition which was successfully held at Marina Plaza Merourah Labuan Bajo on November 8-10, 2024 as a showcase of the nation's children's work in the craft, fashion and food and beverage sectors typical of the leading tourist destinations in Eastern Indonesia.
Packaged as an innovative and creative activity that focuses on developing UMKM tourism destination products, the Pesona Timur Indonesia UMKM Bazaar presents the latest work of UMKM actors with the main target audience of domestic and foreign tourists to be able to utilize and feel proud of the variety of typical products from eastern Indonesia.
As a place to show the creativity of the tourist destination community in processing local resources into products with selling value, the Pesona Timur Indonesia UMKM Bazaar which lasted 4 days at the Sarinah Building in Jakarta featured various supporting exhibition activities such as Product Demos by BUMN-assisted UMKM, Workshop on "Rug Tufting", Sasando music performances, Melodius Band and Adellia Michelle, fashion shows by the Nusantara Ethnic Community and guest star Yura Yunita's appearance.
Specifically, the Specialty Coffee Association of Indonesia (SCAI) held a series of attractive, innovative activities with the "Latte Art" Workshop, Talkshow & Coaching "Coffee Culture Around the World" and Manual Brew Competition.
A series of activities that focus on education about the coffee industry from coffee bean commodities and local processing that are adjusted to market developments to make coffee not only a beverage need, but also a lifestyle that also featured mentor Ryan Wibawa - World Brewers Cup 3rd 2024.
In addition to being a competition event, it also introduces the story of Indonesian coffee, from brewing techniques to insights into the types of Indonesian coffee beans.

The Pesona Timur Indonesia activity was initiated by the Ministry of SOEs and is an important part of the implementation of a program strategy that encourages national economic growth, especially in the MSME and tourism sectors in eastern Indonesia, which runs in line with the National Movement program Proud of Indonesian Products and Proud of Traveling in Indonesia ( Gernas BBI / BBWI).
