Each product we develop is designed with attention to details, supported by world standard facilities to support Hankook's position as a growing global premium brand," said Shin.

First, Hankook Technodome, became the backbone of Hankook's research and development in Daejeon, Korea. Through Hankook Technodome, Hankook Tire won the Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certificate given by the ultrasoundBC (US Green Building Council), one of the prestigious certification systems for environmentally friendly buildings.

Each Hankook tire is designed with the support of superior technology, such as Carbon Black Analyst Lab to research and analyze carbon black fiber on tires, Curing Chamber Room to test rubber forces on tires, Driving Simulation Room in the form of a Formula 1 racing car to analyze the performance of tires on cars, and 3D Scanner Measure Room to research and measure lines on tires.

This research was then implemented in the production process at Geumsan Factory, one of the Hankook factories known for its high-level automation technology. The plant is equipped with the latest automation technology that allows large-scale production processes to remain accurate and efficient. In 2021, Hankook Geumsan Factory became the first tire manufacturer to obtain PLUS ISCC certification, thanks to the company's efforts to replace petroleum-based oil with natural oil, as well as adopt bio-based polymers that can be updated from petrochemical-based synthetic rubber.

To ensure tire performance, each product is tested at Hankook Technoring, Asia's largest proving ground. This 1.26 million square meter testing area is designed to test tires in various extreme conditions. There are 13 types of tracks, ranging from straight tracks, winding, wetting, to off-road tracks equipped with an obstacle. This facility is equipped with a control tower as high as 37.1 meters to monitor integrated testing processes. This test ensures that only the best tires will be marketed, providing optimal security and performance guarantees.

In early November, Hankook invited 15 of the best distributors from Indonesia to see firsthand the Technodome, Technoring, Technoplex, and Geumsan Factory facilities in South Korea. The distributors expressed their confidence in the quality of Hankook after the visit.
