Yoo Yeon Seok Interested In The Thriller Romance Genre Through The Drama When The Phone Rings

JAKARTA - Yoo Yeon Seok became the main character through the latest drama, When The Phone Rings. He co-starred with actress Chae Soo Bin who is his agency partner.

When The Phone Rings tells the story of Baek Sa Eon (Yoo Yeon Seok) who is married to Hong Hee Joo (Chae Soo Bin) because of certain interests experiencing conflict after Hee Joo is threatened with being killed by someone.

Yoo Yeon Seok admitted that he was interested in playing this drama because of the combination of two genres that became the main focus in this story.

I am interested in the fact that this drama combines romance and thriller genres. I also see it interesting that Baek Sa Eon is the president's spokesman and also a character who is confused between romance and conflict with this marriage," said Yoo Yeon Seok.

He said Baek Sa Eon's character at first felt different from himself, but over time he felt a resemblance to the character he played.

"In terms of character, I'm different from Sa Eon in various ways but when I played him, I felt like I was starting to experience the resemblance of a fun journey," said Yeon Seok.

"As the character's charisma begins to be shown, I think we will look more and more like each other," he continued.

Yoo Yeon Seok also spoke acting with Chae Soo Bin who is 10 years old with the actress. They are colleagues of the agency at King Kong by Starship.

I worked with Chae Soo Bin and I think our natural chemistry is well shown in the drama, Yoo Yeon Seok's story.

"We learned sign language together and worked hard to shoot it," he said again.

The drama When The Phone Rings airs every Friday and Saturday and the latest episodes can be watched on Netflix.
