RI-Tajikistan Strengthen Industrial Cooperation, Deputy Minister Of Industry: It Is Hoped That The Implementation Will Be Next Year
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) is collaborating with Tajikistan in the industrial sector. This was revealed after Deputy Minister of Industry (Wamenperin) Faisol Riza held a meeting with the Minister of Industry and New Technology of the Republic of Tajikistan at the Ministry of Industry, Jakarta, Friday, November 22.
During the meeting, the two parties emphasized the importance of collaboration to deal with increasingly complex global situations.
"We hope that Indonesia and Tajikistan can build mutually beneficial cooperation, especially in the industrial sector," said Faisol as quoted from his written statement, Saturday, November 23.
Faisol said that this cooperation needs to be strengthened in the industrial sector, by optimizing opportunities, especially in downstreaming industries and the halal product industry.
"We are also open to discussing cooperation regarding the development of Human Resources (HR) capacity," he said.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Industry and New Technology of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sherali Kabir conveyed the potential of his country.
He expressed Tajikistan's seriousness in establishing partnerships with Indonesia. One concrete example, namely collaboration with one of the companies in Indonesia in providing raw materials, which is considered significant in strengthening bilateral relations.
In addition, the mining sector is also a major concern with the existence of several memorandums of understanding (MoU) between the companies of the two countries. He also expressed his country's interest in Indonesia's experience in nickel management, considering that Indonesia has the largest nickel reserves in the world.

"We want to learn more about the investment and development of the nickel sector in Indonesia," he said.
Related to this, Faisol also responded positively. He said the Ministry of Industry would prepare technical steps to follow up on the cooperation and identify Indonesian companies that have the potential to have direct relations with Tajikistan.
"We hope that the implementation can begin at the beginning of next year," said Faisol.
To note, the cooperation relationship between Indonesia and Tajikistan has been going on for a long time. The reason is, in 2024, the two countries will celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations.
