Congestion Is Getting More And More, Dispar Affirms Bali Is Not Overtourism Yet
DENPASAR - Head of the Bali Tourism Office (Dispar) Tjok Bagus Pemayun denied that the Island of the Gods did not deserve to be visited in 2025.
The guidelines are contained on the Fodor travel site which reveals 15 tourist destinations in the world that are not worthy of being covered.
"If we read, it is said that one of the (reports) is that overtourism, that's a lot of parameters. I admit that after Bali (landed) COVID-19 and finished, tourists (many) came, visits increased," he said, Friday, November 22.

According to him, tourists are concentrated in South Bali. But Dispar Bali questioned Fodor's parameters
"It's true that Bali is jammed, only in southern Bali. (The study) is not intact. That's Bali Island, there are several parameters, yes we admit that South Bali is still concentrated there," said Pemayun.
He explained, from tourist visit data since 2019 it was recorded that it reached 6.2 million per year with an average hotel occupancy rate of 80 percent which was concentrated in the south.
"If we calculate non-invertourism, and we have compiled the travel pattern, which cooperates with the Udayana University Campus in North Bali, east, west, we also communicate with Asita who regulates it," he said.
