Head Of Criminal Investigation Unit Of Solok Police Shot Dead, Member Of Parliament: Momentum Of National Police Chief Closes Galian C And Illegal Mining

Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives Nasir Djamil regretted the shooting of the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Solok Police, AKP Ryanto Ulil Anshar to death. AKP Ryanto is suspected of being shot by the Head of Ops of the South Solok Police AKP Dadang Iskandar regarding the issue of the C excavation mine.

Nasir assessed that this incident should be a momentum for the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to close the excavation C mines and illegal mines in South Solok, West Sumatra and in other areas.

Moreover, according to him, the problem of mining in almost all regions of the country is a place for people to plan.

"Indeed, this is what happens here, almost in all regions there are the same as that, indeed it is a bancakan as well. It often happens, it becomes a source of income, because many excavations are illegal, which is illegal, which is not officially raided by officers," Nasir told reporters, Friday, November 22. Not only the police, said Nasir, the village head and the local sub-district head were also suspected of being'swelled' from illegal mining results in their area.

Even so, Nasir asked all parties to wait for an official statement from the Indonesian Police regarding the motive for this shooting.

"So it's very sad, death because of it (the excavation mine C, ed). But we're waiting to see if there are other motives besides excavation C. Maybe there is another motive. We'll just have to wait for information from the West Sumatra Police. Is there any other information or other motive behind it. Because it was cruel that time. Because of that he shot, that's amazing. What's more, he shot the police again," he said.

Nasir also asked the National Police Chief to make this incident a momentum to close excavation C and other illegal mining activities.

"We hope that this is a momentum for the National Police Chief to close all unlicensed excavations C. So excavation C and illegal mines should be immediately closed by the National Police Chief," said the Aceh electoral district legislator.

"This is a good momentum for the National Police Chief. Due to environmental damage, environmental ecosystems, it's damaging. So it's a good momentum for the National Police Chief to close excavation c and other illegal mining in Indonesia," Nasir added.
