Police Shoot Police Case, National Police Chief: Take Strict Action On Any Rank

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo ordered to take firm action against AKP Dadang Iskandar who shot dead the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Solok Police AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari. Strict action against AKP Dadang Iskandar was carried out ethically and criminally.

"I have ordered that the case be thoroughly processed against the perpetrators, individuals, perpetrators from the institution to be dealt with firmly whether it is an ethical and criminal process," Sigit told reporters at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Friday, November 22.

The order was given not only because of the shooting but also related to the motive behind it.

So far, AKP Dadang Iskandar is known to have shot dead AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari for cracking down on illegal mining in excavation C.

"Especially if the motive is then it turns out to be carried out on things that we have considered to have injured the institution," he said.

Sigit emphasized that he would take firm action against his members who committed indiscriminate violations.

"I ask anyone, whatever the rank, take firm action, don't hesitate," said Sigit.

The police shooting police case occurred at the South Solok Police on Friday, November 22 in the morning.

AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari, who is the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Solok Seletan Police, was shot by AKP Dadang Iskandar, who is the Head of Operations Division.

Based on information, there were 9 shots fired by AKP Dadang Iskandar. Two of them hit the temple and cheek of AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari.

Due to a severe gunshot wound, AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari died.
