Ministry Of Public Works Ready To Revitalize 9,300 Schools-2,120 Madrasahs Worth IDR 19.5 Trillion Next Year
Deputy Minister of Public Works (PU) Diana Kusumastuti held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Wamendikdasmen) Fajar Riza Ul Haq at the Office of the Ministry of Public Works, Jakarta, on Friday, November 22. This meeting is in order to discuss the implementation of the 2025 School/Madrasah Revitalization Best Result Program (PHTC).
Diana said that the Ministry of Public Works is ready to support the 2025 school/madrasah revitalization program so that teachers and students can get a decent and safe location.
According to him, the program targets include 9,300 schools and 2,120 madrasas in kindergarten, elementary, junior high, high school/vocational schools, SLB and SKB education units. Both public schools and private schools, with a budget allocation of IDR 19.5 trillion.
"This program includes rehabilitation in classrooms and non-classrooms in minimally moderately damaged conditions, including the furniture. It is also possible to build a new classroom if necessary or reconstruction if conditions are severe," Diana said as quoted from the official Instagram account @kementerianpu, Friday, November 22.
The PHTC for School Revitalization is a priority program in the context of accelerating 13 Years of Learning and overcoming the issue of equitable access to education.
The implementation of school/madrasah revitalization is carried out by the Ministry of Public Works through the State Budget with school/madrasah targets handled based on the proposed and DAK Physical DAK 2025 data from the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Religion.
The implementation is in 2 stages, namely phase 1 as many as 1,380 schools/madrasah and stage 2 as many as 10,040 schools/madrasah.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Education and Culture Fajar Riza Ul Haq expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Public Works for their willingness and readiness to support the education sector through this school revitalization program.
"Hopefully we can continue to build communication and coordination so that the school revitalization program can be right on target and on time according to the specified target," he said.
