Bekasi City Election LPMM Survey: The Electability Of Tri Adhianto-Abdul Harris Bobihoe Melejit Among Millennials And Gen Z
JAKARTA - The Millennium Community Research Institute (LPMM) released the results of a survey regarding the direction of Millennials and Gen Z's votes towards three pairs of candidates for mayor and deputy mayor in the 2024 Bekasi City Pilkada. As a result, the name of the pair Tri Adhianto-Abdul Harris Bobihoe skyrocketed among them.
The Director of LPMM, Alamsyah Wijaya explained that 56 percent of young people in the city of Bekasi were registered as Millennials and Gen Z voters in the 2024 Pilkada. So that the majority of these groups will determine the vote acquisition of the Bekasi City Election.
Alamsyah said, out of a total of 1,828,740 voters in the Bekasi Pilwakot, 1,024 were voters from Millennials and Gen Z. As many as 87.7 percent Millennials and Gen Z claimed to know and know the pair Tri Adhianto-Abdul Harris Bobihoe.
"Then as many as 64.7 percent Millennials and Gen Z know and know the Heri Koswara-Sholihin pair, and as much as 21.7 percent know and know the couple Uu Saeful Mikdar-Nurul Sumarheni," said Alamsyah, Friday, November 22.
The LPMM survey also tested the introduction and knowledge of Millennials and Gen Z against the three candidate pairs obtained from 52.5 percent of digital platforms and social media. A total of 29.2 percent of campaign props (APK), and 10.2 percent of news media.
The rest, 8.1 percent of the discussions in the community related to Millennial and Gen Z's preferences and interests in Bekasi Mayorial Candidates.
"The survey results show that Generation Z (under 27 years old) has the highest crush on the figure of Tri Adhianto, which is 87.3 percent. For millennials, it is recorded that 86.8 percent likes Tri Adhianto," he explained.
Then, continued Alamsyah, it was recorded that Gen Z liked the figure of Heri Koswara at 62.6 percent, and for Millennials it was recorded at 54.1 percent. And 26.3 percent of Gen Z likes Uu Saeful Mikdar and 22.2 percent Millennials like Uu Saeful Mikdar.
"It can be concluded that the popularity of the Tri Adhianto-Abdul Harris Bobihoe couple is not just a matter of public recognition, but a preference for Gen Z and Millennials in this couple," he said.
Alamsyah also said that the survey results among Gen Z and Millennials showed that the pair Tri Adhianto-Abdul Harris Bobihoe had the biggest support compared to their two rivals, Heri Koswara-Sholihin and Uu Saeful Mikdar-Nurul Sumarheni.
"Gen Z support to Tri Adhianto-Abdul Harris Bobihoe is significant, amounting to 53.6 percent. Meanwhile, the Heri Koswara-Sholihin pair is 31.3 percent, and the most distended to Uu Saeful Mikdar-Nurul Sumarheni is 4.2 percent. Meanwhile, Gen Z has not provided 10.9 percent of the choice," said Alamsyah.
"Meanwhile, from the Millennial segment, the pair Tri Adhianto-Abdul Harris Bobihoe was again at the highest, getting support at 54.7 percent, Heri Koswara-Sholihin at 30.1 percent, Uu Saeful Mikdar-Nurul Sumarheni at 3.9 percent, and Millennials who have not provided support or choice as much as 11.3%," he added.
The LPMM survey for the Bekasi City Election has been conducted since 12-19 November 2024 in 56 urban villages proportionally. This survey involved 780 Gen Z voters and 860 Millennial voters who are residents of Bekasi City.
Survey data collection was carried out face-to-face with selected Gen Z and Millennials using the multistage random Sampling Method. Meanwhile, the survey margin of Error ranges from +/- 2.37 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
