Case Of Prospective Receipt Of Non-commissioned Officers Involving 2 Former Police Immediately Tried

The case files for two former police officers suspected of allegedly accepting the National Police Officer at the Central Java Regional Police in 2022 have been transferred to the Semarang City Prosecutor's Office, Central Java.

The Head of Special Investigation Unit of the Semarang City Prosecutor's Office, Agus Sunaryo, confirmed the delegation of cases investigated by the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police.

According to him, the two suspects, each ZE and DE, were transferred with evidence to the prosecutor's public prosecutor.

"Furthermore, the indictment was prepared before being transferred to the court," Agus was quoted as saying by ANTARA, Friday, November 22.

According to him, the two suspects were charged with Law Number 31 of 1999 which was amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.

After the case files were transferred, the two suspects were detained for the next 20 days at the Semarang Prison.

Previously, the Central Java Regional Police imposed disciplinary sanctions on a number of police officers suspected of being involved in brokering practices when receiving the non-commissioned officer in the police unit in 2022.

In handling the case, a total levy of Rp9 billion was secured.
