AS Roma Insists On Continuing Construction Of New Stadiums
JAKARTA - AS Roma CEO Lorenzo Vitali insists plans to build a new stadium for the Giallorossi are almost a reality after years of work.
The project was first announced when Jim Pallotta took over the club in 2011. Because the bureaucracy is complicated and the number of potential locations is different, this project has never really developed.
Now, as a leader, the Friedkin family (AS Roma owners) is determined to break the curse and build a new arena in the Pietralta area, which is included in Teramo Province.
Speaking at the Social Football Summit in Rome, Thursday, November 21, 2024, local time, Vitali assured supporters that they were progressing rapidly.
"Since the first day, we have worked side by side with the stadium-related council. We listen to them like part of the family and thank them for their efforts."
"This is a very complicated project, but I will reveal a secret. No stadium in Italy has reached a level of progress like the Rome arena."

"We talked about something to be made from scratch. It's a very ambitious project and obviously making it in Italy very difficult."
"However, we almost handed over the final project to the council and are in the final stages of a very difficult bureaucratic process. We will get there," said Lorenzo Vitali.
The Roma CEO leaked a little form of the bora stadium later. He insisted that the stadium would be a delicious sight seen in Rome.
"This stadium is in Roman style, with designs that match the city structure. Roma supporters have heard too many stories about stadium construction, I know."
"However, this dream is really almost a reality," said Vitali again as quoted by ESPN.
Roma and Lazio face additional difficulties with their plans to build a new stadium as they choose land that is not yet connected to public transportation services or suitable roads.
This access needs to be built to ensure thousands of supporters can flock there without any difficulties on match day.
