Vice President Gibran Asks Mendikdasmen To Remove School Zoning System
JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka asked the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti to eliminate the school zoning system in New Student Admissions (PPDB).
This was revealed by Gibran when giving a speech at the Muhammadiyah Youth PP Tanwir I event, in Central Jakarta, Thursday, November 21.
"Yesterday during a coordination meeting with the heads of the education office, I conveyed firmly to the Minister of Education, 'Sir, this zoning must be eliminated'," said Gibran as quoted by ANTARA.
Gibran emphasized that education is the key to the golden generation and Indonesia Gold 2045, therefore it is important to provide convenience in accessing education.

Vice President Gibran also conveyed the importance of teaching young people coding, programming, and digital marketing lessons.
"Because now we must not be left behind from other countries," he said.
On the other hand, on that occasion, Gibran also invited young people to work together and work hard in the midst of the current demographic bonus.
"The opportunity did not come twice. This is our opportunity, our stage, and we are really the spearhead towards Indonesia Gold 2045," he said.
