IPhone SE 4 Releases March 2025, Faster Than Initial Estimation

JAKARTA - After various rumors, a recent report from Barclays states that the iPhone SE 4 will certainly be released in March 2025. This information comes from a supply chain that confirms that the device will be present in the first quarter of next year.

The iPhone SE 4 is said to bring big changes in design compared to the previous generation. This device will adopt a similar design to the iPhone 14, including a ponley screen and the removal of the Home physical button. It will also be the first iPhone SE series to replace the Touch ID feature with Face ID. However, like the previous SE model, this device will only be equipped with one rear camera.

One of the most anticipated innovations is the use of Apple's 5G modem. Previously, Apple relied on Qualcomm's 5G modem for all iPhone lines. However, the iPhone SE 4 will be the first device to use Apple's internal development modem 5G.

This modem is reportedly not in support of the mmWave network, which is faster, but will be sufficient for basic 5G needs. This move is considered an Apple trial before bringing the modem to another iPhone model.

The report states that the iPhone SE 4 is likely to be priced at around US$459 to 499 (Rp7.9 million), slightly more expensive than the iPhone SE (2022) which was released at a price of US$429 (Rp6.8 million). In addition to the screen design of the iPhone 14, this device is also predicted to carry the same panel, although other specifications such as chipsets and battery capacities have not been widely disclosed.

With the presence of the iPhone SE 4, Apple seems to be increasingly shifting the use of Touch ID towards Face ID across its product lines. This is a strategic step consistent with Apple's vision to strengthen user security and experience.

The official announcement of the iPhone SE 4 is expected to take place in early 2025. With the combination of modern design, the latest technology, and relatively affordable prices, the iPhone SE 4 is predicted to be an attractive option in the middle class mobile market.
