JAKARTA - In addition to blocking online gambling sites and content on the internet, the Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, revealed that the government's online gambling desk also takes action against bank and e-wallet accounts that facilitate online gambling transactions.

In this case, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs is collaborating with Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to apply for blocking bank accounts or e-wallets that facilitate online gambling.

During the period of August 8, 2023-19 November 2024, the Ministry of Communication and Digigi admitted that it had submitted 821 applications for blocking bank accounts to OJK. The 821 bank accounts include:
