Xiaomi Prepares New SUV And Crossover, Serious Challenger At EREV Market

JAKARTA - Xiaomi EV continues to give birth to innovation through excellent models. After a huge success with the Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan, the Chinese brand is reportedly preparing to launch a new electric SUV next year. However, Xiaomi's breakthrough did not stop there.

Citing a report from Carnewschina, Thursday, November 21, Xiaomi is also developing a large crossover called N3. This model is said to be a serious challenger for Aito M9, a luxury crossover supported by Huawei technology.

Recently, leaked images on social media showed a large crossover wrapped in thick camouflage with code D14 on the left side of the door being tested on the road in China. This car will certainly be under the Xiaomi automotive brand.

According to information, the N3 crossover is scheduled to launch in 2026 and will compete in the Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) segment, a market that is increasingly in demand in China. The design carries high engine hoods, flat roof lines, and modern five-stop rims. With a large dimension, this car is capable of presenting three rows of seats, making it an attractive choice for the family.

Xiaomi is also predicted to embed remote driving technology on N3. Although specifications have not been disclosed, reports state that this model may be using different electric motors from their internal V6 and V8, as the technology is designed for 800V high voltage systems, while the EREV tends to adopt 400V systems.

As a leading technology company, Xiaomi is believed to be providing its cars with advanced features, ranging from autonomous driving systems to innovative connectivity technologies. The presence of the N3 crossover and this new electric SUV is certainly a big step for Xiaomi to strengthen its position in the global automotive industry.
