Jakarta KPU Reminds Tomorrow Will Be The Last Day Of Transferring To Vote For The 2024 Pilkada

JAKARTA - The General Election Commission of DKI Jakarta Province reminded Jakarta residents that on November 20 is the last day of taking care of moving to select four categories specifically in the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

Head of the DKI Jakarta General Elections Commission (KPU) Data and Information Division (KPU) Fahmi Ziryptaah mentioned the four categories in question, namely voters who carry out their duties elsewhere on voting day.

Another category, namely undergoing hospitalization at health facilities and families who accompany and become prisoners in detention centers or prisons or convicts who are being imprisoned and hit by natural disasters.

He said that the transfer of votes could be carried out at the offices of the District Election Committee (PPK), the Voting Committee (PPS) or the regency/city KPU in the area of origin and destination.

"The management moved to choose to bring an Electronic KTP and supporting documents for the reason for moving to vote," said Fahmi.

The documents that need to be prepared include documents that need to be prepared as a condition for moving arrangements, including electronic ID cards, family cards (KK), population data, or Digital Population Identity (IKD).

Other documents, namely supporting documents as evidence according to the reason for moving to vote, such as a letter of assignment signed by the head of the agency or company and a wet stamp for voters who carry out assignments elsewhere on voting day.

Then, inpatient certificates from hospitals/health services and accompanying statements for voters undergoing hospitalization at health facilities and accompanying families.

Then, a certificate from the head of the detention center (rutan) or correctional institution (prison) for voters who are prisoners of detention centers/prisons and domicile transfer letters from the local Population and Civil Registration Office (Dukcapil) for voters who are affected by natural disasters.

The Head of the Socialization Division, Voter Education and Community Participation of the DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU, Astri Megatari, said that the main requirement to take care of moving to vote or voting is that voters must be listed on the permanent voter list (DPT), but they are unable to vote at the domicile polling station as long as possible.

For voters who have not been registered with the DPT, they can still take part in the voting at the TPS according to their domicile on the Electronic KTP and are present at the TPS in the last hour before closing, which is 12.00 - 13.00 WIB. These voters can be served as long as the ballot at the TPS is still available.

Astri also reminded residents to check the location of the 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilkada TPS online through the cekdptonline.kpu.go.id page.
