Ridwan Kamil Will Not Move City Hall But Regional-Owned Enterprises

JAKARTA - The candidate for governor of Jakarta, Ridwan Kamil, stated that City Hall would not move it to another location. But the offices and BUMDs will be'shifted' to the North Jakarta area.

"That's right. So, the service centers are consolidated," Ridwan Kamil told reporters, Tuesday, November 19.

However, the matter of this transfer is still a plan. Because, everything must be discussed first and obtain permission from the parties who have the authority.

"Everything must be dialogued. It is impossible to move without the approval of the DPRD. So, these are ideas that must be finalized," he said.

The idea of moving the BUMD maupaun office was not without basis. Ridwan Kamil said it was solely to reduce the burden on Central Jakarta.

In addition, it is also to concentrate local governments so that it makes it easier for the community.

"So, it is understood that the Jakarta problem is jammed. The traffic jam is due to too centralized activities in Central Jakarta. So that in the long term there will be no traffic jams due to spatial injustice, we will reduce the burden in Central Jakarta," he said.

"One of them is the offices, BUMD-BUMD which are now scattered here and there so that people being carried can be consolidated," continued Ridwan Kamil.

In this idea, the office and BUMD will be transferred to Ancol, North Jakarta. In fact, it is stated that the area can be built like SCBD.

"Well, there is an idea that in North Jakarta there is indeed the right to build 200 hectares of Ancol, it can be made like SCBD, but the Government Center," said Ridwan Kamil.
