Russia Mass Production Of Kub-M Bomb Shelters Similar To Containers

JAKARTA - Russia is starting mass production of bomb shelters/helters that can protect against various man-made threats and natural disasters including radiation and shock waves,

The Kub-M shelter looks like a reinforced container. The Cub-M can provide protection against radiation, shrapnel, debris and fires as well as can be used in a large layer of ice in northern Russia, according to Russian research institutes.

Reported by Reuters on Tuesday, November 19, Kub-M standard units can accommodate 54 people but additional modules can be added.

The war in Ukraine is entering what some officials say could be the most dangerous phase as Moscow forces advance at the fastest speed since the early weeks of conflict in 2022 and Western countries seek to shore up Ukraine.

Russian research institutes did not link the move to any current crisis, although the announcement came just as US President Joe Biden's administration agreed to allow Ukraine to fire long-range American missiles at Russia.

The Kremlin said on Monday Russia would respond to what it called a reckless decision taken by the Biden administration and warned the move would bring the United States directly into the conflict.
