Police Unload Largest Marijuana Resin Laboratory In Indonesia
JAKARTA - The National Police dismantled a hashish laboratory in Jimbaran, Bali. The disclosure is claimed to be the largest drug production network in Indonesia.
Hasish is known to be a resin made of marijuana. Usually used as medicine.
"This is the first disclosure of the hashish laboratory in Indonesia. The National Police will continue to fight drugs to protect the nation's generation," said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Wahyu Widada, to reporters in Bali, November 19.
From the disclosure of the case, four people were named as suspects. They have the initials MR, RR, N, and DA who act as mixers and packers.
In addition, in this case one person has been named a fugitive who is the controller of the network.
"This network is controlled by an Indonesian citizen with the initials DOM who is now a fugitive (DPO)," he said.
Wahyu also said that this network uses the pods system which is usually used for vaping. That way, solid hashish is modified to liquid.
"This mode targets the younger generation by utilizing technological trends. We urge parents to be more alert to devices like this," he said.

Hashish production is planned to be circulated on a large scale at the 2025 New Year celebrations in Bali, Java, to the international market.
The suspects were charged with Article 114 Paragraph 2 and Article 112 Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 Paragraph 2 of Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics and Article 59 Paragraph 2 of Law Number 5 Year 1997 concerning Psychotropics.
The maximum penalty imposed is the death penalty, life imprisonment, or 20 years imprisonment, as well as a fine of up to IDR 10 billion.
If proven to have committed money laundering, they will also be charged with the Money Laundering Law with a maximum penalty of 20 years
