OIKN Says Tourists Visiting IKN Reach 5,000 Per Day
The Capital Authority of the Archipelago (OIKN) noted that the capital city of Nusantara in East Kalimantan has received tourist visits of up to 5,000 people per day.
"Currently, IKN can be visited, then visitors to date there are around 3,000 to 5,000 visitors every day," said OIKN Investment and Ease of Doing Business, Lazuardi Nasution, quoting Antara.
He stated that currently the IKN area can be intended as a tourist attraction, so that his party will serve visitors who come to the new capital city of Indonesia in East Kalimantan.
"We think IKN is now one of the tourist attraction destinations as well and of course we have to serve Mr. and Mrs. if you want to visit IKN later," he said.
Furthermore, in order to facilitate access to visits, his party is trying to complete the construction of the access toll road to IKN, so that it can cut the travel time from Balikpapan which was previously taken 2.5 hours to 45--50 minutes.
"Hopefully in December it can be completed, with the new toll road, it is hoped that IKN can be reached within 45 to 50 minutes from Balikpapan to IKN," he said.
Meanwhile, for access to the Balang Island toll road, it still uses an open and closing scheme depending on the need, as well as the arrival of guests to IKN.
