South Kalimantan Is Ready To Be The Host Of HPN 2025, Preparation Maximized
JAKARTA - South Kalimantan ensured readiness as the host of the National Press Day (HPN) 2025. This stress was delivered at a meeting of the Central PWI ranks with representatives of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government in Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Monday (11/18) night.
Central PWI Chairperson, Hendry Ch Bangun, stated that South Kalimantan has been decided to host HPN 2025 since August 2024. "South Kalimantan was chosen because it was considered the most ready. The Head of the South Kalimantan Communication and Information Agency, Muhamad Muslim, expressed his appreciation for the preparations that had been made. "South Kalimantan is ready to host HPN 2025. He also added, the results of this meeting will soon be reported to the Governor and related ranks in South Kalimantan for further steps.
The Chairperson of the 2025 HPN Committee, Raja Parlindungan Pane, explained that the preparation of HPN 2025 would continue to be matured. "The central committee has been working since June 2024. We will continue to coordinate with the regional committee so that the event will run successfully," he said.
Raja Pane revealed that the central committee plans to visit South Kalimantan to directly observe preparations. Meanwhile, the official launch of the HPN 2025 is planned to be carried out after the elections, namely in early December 2024 in South Kalimantan.
During the meeting, the great theme of HPN 2025 was also established, namely "The press escorting food security as the independence of the nation". This theme shows the support of press people for efforts to create a sustainable food system based on local innovation and wisdom.
The sub -theme raised is "South Kalimantan as the Logistics Gate of Kalimantan", which reflects the strategic role of the province in regional development.
This meeting also resulted in a number of technical decisions, such as the determination of the official logo of HPN 2025. Chairman of the South Kalimantan Province PWI, Zainal Helmie, welcomed this quick step. "It's good that the logo is finally decided quickly. I will immediately report this to the Governor, Regional Secretary, and related officials," said Zainal.
In addition, the meeting was attended by a number of central PWI officials, including Secretary General Iqbal Irsyad, General Treasurer M. Nasir, Deputy General Treasurer Sarwani, and Chairman of the Expert Council Sayid Iskandarsyah.
