Kevin Diks' Touching Message Forced Absent From Defending The Indonesian National Team
JAKARTA - Kevin Diks is confirmed to be absent from defending the Indonesian national team against Saudi Arabia on the sixth matchday of the 2026 World Cup Qualification Third Round.
Although he could not contribute directly, he sent touching messages to his teammates who would continue the struggle.
The absence of Kevin Diks in the match which was held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, tonight has been confirmed by Sumardji. The national team manager said that Diks was absent due to injury.
The situation then forced Kevin Diks to pull over and return to Denmark to continue healing. Quite saddened by the situation that hit him, Kevin Diks wrote a touching message on his personal Instagram account.
"Unfortunately, last Saturday (16 November 2024) I had to leave the field due to injury. I have worked hard to recover on time."
"But, unfortunately, tomorrow's game is too soon for me to come back," Diks wrote in a post quoted Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Unable to participate in the struggle of the Garuda Squad apparently made the FC Copenhagen club player quite frustrated. Even so, Kevin Diks believes Jay Idzes and his friends can win over Saudi Arabia.
"This is very disappointing for me because I want to give everything for my country."
"However, I have full confidence in my teammates and their ability to give their best," wrote Diks.
"I will support them wholeheartedly. I know we can make our fans proud together," he said.
Even though he was forced to pull over, Kevin Diks also didn't want to lose hope. He tried to keep the fans' enthusiasm to continue to support the Red and White Team.
"Thank you to all the fans for your great support! Let's continue to believe and fight for our beautiful country," he said.
