Apple Will Remove ICloud Data From IOS Old Version

JAKARTA Apple announced that it would delete old data in iCloud. All iCloud users on iOS 8 or lower need to back up their data before it is automatically deleted.

iOS 8 is a software released in June 2014. Although its age has reached a decade, some users may still use this iOS version on their old device and have not moved the data to the latest device.

There are two options that Apple offers so that iCloud users on iOS 8 do not lose their data, namely by backing up all data or updating the software version to iOS 9. The deletion of iCloud data will begin on December 18.

"The device backup will require iOS 9 or later. This is to better suit the minimum software requirements we publish," Apple said. "If you use iOS 9 or later, no action is needed."

Apple explains that iCloud users with iOS 8 and lower could use its services as usual until the set date. Once the rules apply, access to iCloud will be limited by Apple.

Users will not be able to create new backups on devices that still use iOS 8 and lower. In addition, the data stored in iCloud will also not be accessible because the iOS version is no longer compatible with the system.

"Jika Anda memiliki iPhone 4S atau versi yang lebih baru; iPad 2 atau versi yang lebih baru; atau kiosk touch (generation ke-5) atau versi yang lebih baru, Anda dapat merekatkan perangkat Anda ke iOS 9 atau versi yang lebih baru dan tetap menggunakan iCloud Backup," jelas Apple.
